Wormery Start-up Pack

Once you have built your wormery, why not buy our start-up pack which contains everything you need to get started and maintain your wormery. The pack contains:

  • 1.0kg of composting worms
  • Granular lime
  • Worm meal
  • A bedding block
  • Instructions
We do not provide a hemp moisture mat as we have found that a piece of plastic sheeting or carpet cut to size is just as good and saves on costs. If you do not have something like an old compost bag that you can use, let us know the dimensions of your wormery and we will enclose a piece in your pack, free of charge. If you are planning to breed worms for fishing, please let us know and we will ensure that your composting worms are pure dendrobeanas.

Wormery Basic Start-up Pack

If you are using your wormery for composting only and are not interested in fattening your worms, then why not buy our basic start-up pack that contains everything you need to get started and maintain your wormery. The pack contains:
  • 1.0kg of composting worms (approx. 700-800 worms)
  • Granular lime
  • A bedding block (coir)
  • Instructions

Lime

Bucket of Lime

Our granular Lime is made from finely ground calcified seaweed, supplied in a bucket for easy storage and use. Not only does it rapidly correct the PH levels of your wormery, it contains calcium, magnesium and 32 trace elements. As well as helping your worms you will be producing higher quality compost for your garden.

Worm Meal

Worm Meal

Our worm meal has been specially formulated for worms, containing the correct protein and mineral balance for your worms to thrive. Use to fatten your worms for fishing or just to give them a boost. The bucket contains 2.0kg of worm meal.

Coir Block

Coir Block

Our large coir (compressed coconut fibre) blocks make up 9 litres of worm bedding. Use it as bedding to introduce your worms safely into a newly set up wormery or should your wormery become waterlogged, use dry coir lumps to soak up the excess moisture. For the gardeners amongst you, use the coir as a peat alternative or mix with your wormcast to make compost.

Wormcast

Bucket of Wormcast

Wormcast is the best natural fertilizer available to man:

  • Pure worm castings are odourless, contain micro-organisms, micro nutrients, enzymes, natural hormones and growth stimulants which act like Rocket Fuel for plants.
  • Plants that have been grown using wormcast are more disease resistant than those not. The quality, yield and taste of vegetables can be improved. Flowers can have bigger and better blooms and all through a completely naturally derived medium.
  • From personal experience we can say that vegetables grown with wormcast added to the seedbed are greener, plumper and tastier than others. You also have the peace of mind knowing that what you are eating is totally organic.
Here are a few examples of its many uses:

  • Great for top dressing lawns.
  • Rejuvenate your growbags by working in 25% wormcast.
  • For Hanging Baskets & Pot Plants mix 20 % Wormcast with normal compost or soil.
  • Ensure Great germination by mixing in worm cast with your normal compost.
  • When transplanting shrubs or trees a small amount around the roots will ensure the Plant will have the best chance to thrive.


We sell two grades of wormcast. Our Premium Wormcast is derived from farmyard manure that has been broken down by our worms. Our Standard Wormcast is derived from a mix of mostly manure with a small proportion of paper pulp. Although still a superb product, the colour does not appear a rich as our premium product.
